Dear Families,

Are you interested in learning more about your child's disease while also helping advance scientific research? Consider donating your child’s blood sample to an anonymous biorepository. Scientists and doctors can use these samples to create stem cells, which helps them better understand the disease and test potential treatments.

You will have the opportunity at our Scientific Conference to be held on September 24th in Atlanta or there are additional options available.  If none of these options work, we can send a mobile phlebotomist to you!

June 7 – 8th in San Diego, California

July 28th – July 30th in Seattle, Washington

June 20 – 22nd in Denver, Colorado

September 25th – 28th in Atlanta, Georgia

July 19th – 21st in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

October in Nashville, Tennessee

July 27th – July 28th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

December 4th—5th in Los Angeles, California

This is a fantastic opportunity for our patient organization, made possible by the tireless fundraising efforts of our supporters. Collecting a blood sample costs about $500 per patient, and creating a stem cell model runs around $8,000 per patient. A huge thank you to everyone who has participated in Facebook birthday fundraisersvirtual walks, and lemonade stands. Your generosity fuels our research (we run entirely on donations), and we couldn’t do it without you!

There is a short form to fill out (select blood and “other” for collection).  Please contact Amber Freed if you would like to participate.  This opportunity is only available to US citizens right now and we are working diligently to include additional samples.

Best,

Amber Freed
